Pak One Health Alliance in close coordination with the University of Health Sciences – Lahore, the Department of Health Punjab – Policy & Strategic Planning Unit and other One Health partners organized a three day “Capacity Building Workshop for Promotion of One Health for Infectious Disease Prevention & Control” at University of Health Sciences – Lahore during June 13-15, 2022. It was part of activity of the project titled “Deploying One Health – EBS System in Punjab currently being implemented with national and international partnership.
The core objectives of this workshop were; (i) sensitization of policy and mid-level managers on the subject of One Health; (ii) its importance and relevance to existing challenges; and (iii) significance of enhanced coordination & collaboration between key stakeholders to ensure efficient responses, and reduce duplication of efforts. Accordingly, the expected outcome of this training program was to enhance clarity on roles and responsibilities and collaboration among key One Health players.
This was a well-attended workshop where representatives of multiple One Health related ministries and provincial departments participated. One Health Bangladesh team also shared their presentation on One Health-Dashboard
