Pak One Health Alliance, in coordination with Punjab Health Department, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) organized a two day workshop on Biorisk Management at UHS premises on July 28-29, 2016. This workshop as participated by a large number of professional and resource persons derived from multiple disciples, including laboratory managers, experts from public health and animal health, environmental sciences, health managers and planners and partner agencies. Workshop was supported by CRDF-USA – an organization engaged in worldwide promotion of Biorisk management.
The prime objective of the workshops was to fully understand and promote biorisk management including; concept realization, risk assessment, risk mitigation, and performance management by adopting key principles, standard international procedures and best practices. Finally recommendations and next steps were sought from this learnt group for incorporation into workshop report and wider dissemination.
