Dr. Azhar – (MD. MPH) passed M.D. from Romania (1983) and earned a Diploma in Dermatology from Bangkok – Thailand (1995). Later on, he obtained the degree of MPH from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad in 1997, Diploma of HR Professional from NUST, Rawalpindi in 2005, and Diploma in Healthcare and Hospital Management from NUST, Islamabad in 2015. Presently, he is working as Director, Riphah International Medical College Islamabad.

Prior to this Dr. Azhar served as General Manager at Dubai Cosmetic Surgeries-Islamabad. Director Health & Training at Pakistan Red Crescent Society Islamabad. Senior Medical Officer, ­­­­PTCL-Islamabad, BHU Sukho, and RHC Lehtrar-Rawalpindi. Dr. Azhar has organized a number of Free Mobile Medical camps in remote rural areas of Pakistan – Tharparkar desert and others less privileged areas. He is also working for the resilience of communities with a focus on health issues especially related to water-borne diseases. With POHA, Dr. Azhar is contributing as a member of the Executive Body as Vice President.
