Dr. Fouzia Tariq

Dr. Fouzia did her medical bachelor (MBBS) in 1984 from Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Lahore and Masters in Public Health (MPH) from the Health Services Academy, Islamabad in 2001. She served in the different public health programs including the National Program for Family Planning & Primary Healthcare (known as LHWs Program) as Training Adviser during 2002-2011. In this program she was involved in development of Training Curriculum for LHWs in EPI, a pictorial booklet (Sehat ki Dastak) and Manual for LMS and CM-MIS Tools under UNICEF support, manual for Community Child Management under Save the Children support and EPI Manual for Vaccinators of FATA under World Bank support. Dr. Fouzia participated in number of research work e.g. Study the Perception of Adolescents and their mothers on Reproductive Health (2000); KAP Study to Assess the Counselings skills of LHWs in RH (WHO-2001); Reasons for Low Utilisation of Public Health Facilities (2004); Process Evaluation of MNH Training of LHWs in UNFPA Districts (2011) and Acceptability Trial of Micro Nutrient Powder (MNP) in district Thatta-Sindh (2013). She is associated with POHA as Freelance Public Health Specialist.
