In view of the growth of lumpy skin disease in Sindh, veterinary specialists in Punjab have developed a vaccination with “successful results” to prevent the virus from spreading in the province. According to Dr. Sajjad Hussain, Director of the Veterinary Research Institute, the first incidence of the virus was discovered in Sindh in October of last year, following which Punjab began preparations to combat the danger. According to the specialist, the virus infects animals at a rate of 90%, with a fatality rate of up to 5%.
