According to media reports, the provincial health administration in Pakistan’s Punjab has declared a dengue emergency in the Rawalpindi area due to an increase in the number of cases. As the number of dengue cases continues to climb, the health department has designated the district as the “most sensitive” to the disease. In addition to Rawalpindi, the Punjab Health Department has designated Lahore as the most susceptible district, according to The Express Tribune. Over 1,000 teams have been created to remove the dengue virus from the district in order to prevent the issue from spinning out of control. According to the statistics, the number of suspected dengue fever patients in the area has risen to 91, with 29 people diagnosed with the dengue virus.
